Do you drive for Lyft? If so, you can log in to the Lyft account dashboard and get your Lyft 1099 Tax form.
Please note, Lyft only issues Form 1099 to drivers who earned more than $20,000 during the calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
If your earning was less than $20,000 you can still get your annual summary in the dashboard.
The annual summary statement will show the total income you made with Lyft.
What is the 1099-K tax form and how to get one? If you meet a certain threshold, Lyft will issue you a 1099-K form. The 1099-K is an official IRS tax document that includes a breakdown of your annual on-trip gross earnings.
Who gets the 1099-K tax form? Lyft will only send the 1099-K if you meet the following threshold.
- You earned more than $20,000 in customer payments in the last year and
- You provided at least 200 rides or deliveries in the last year
- You had backup withholding applied on any payment
- Certain states required Lyft to issue 1099-K regardless of the gross income (eg. Massachusetts)
