Are you a shopper for Instacart? If so, you can log in to Instacart’s account dashboard and get your Instacart 1099 Tax form.
Please note, Instacart only issues Form 1099 to shoppers who earned more than $600 during the calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
If your earning was less than $600 you can still get your annual summary in the dashboard.
The annual summary statement will show the total income you made with Instacart.
What is the 1099 tax form and how to get one? If you meet a certain threshold, Instacart will issue you a 1099 form. 1099 is an official IRS tax document that includes a breakdown of your annual on-trip gross earnings.
Who gets the 1099 tax form? Instacart will only send 1099 if you meet the following threshold.
- You earned more than $600 in customer payments in the last year and
- You had backup withholding applied on any payment
- Certain states require Instacart to issue 1099 regardless of the gross income (eg. Massachusetts)
