Answer: There are many ways to notify the IRS of your new address. If you file your tax return with the new address, your address on file will be automatically updated with your new address based on your tax return.
If you moved to a new address after filing your tax return or if you want to make sure IRS knows your new address, just filled out Form 8822, Change of New Address, with your new address and mail it to IRS.
You can also call IRS to inform of them of the new address by calling IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
